What does the CODE DANS+ support package include?
1. Financial support up to a maximum of 3000 euros.
Danspunt supports projects in the amateur arts through CODE DANS+. With financial support of up to €3,000, we want to help you bring your idea to life. The budget is intended to strengthen and concretely develop your project, not to pay yourself as a professional artist.
So use the funds primarily for what you need to bring your creation to life: costs for a costume, transport, payment of a technician, a volunteer allowance … and so on. You determine what you need, submit your request, and we’ll see what financial support we can offer!
2. Artistic coaching
Through CODE DANS+, you can work with a professional for 10 hours. Danspunt will cover the costs of the professional coach. The coach will ask questions, offer insights and provide advice.
What might this involve?
- Someone who reviews the composition of your performance
- Someone who helps your dancers develop in this creation, in terms of technique, storytelling, stage presence, empathy…
- Someone who contributes ideas from a technical perspective (lighting, sound, installation, costumes, set design…)
- Someone who contributes ideas regarding the dramaturgy
This component of the CODE DANS+ support package is a valuable element in helping you develop as a choreographer and providing your dancers with insights during the creation of your performance.
3. Info & advice
When organising your performance, you may run into a few things. What’s the best way to handle this? What are your options? Danspunt is happy to support you with tips and advice on planning and scheduling, organising your performance, paying others, using an AKV…
4. Rehearsal space at Danspunt (Ghent)*
To support your project, you can rehearse at Danspunt at no cost. We’ll start with five rehearsal days, which could also be ten half-days. Do you need more rehearsal space? We’ll discuss this with you.

5. Communication
- A spot on the CODE DANS website
- An announcement of your event on social media
- Danspunt will post a reel (short video on Instagram) of your performance
